Conference Postponed

Due to Visa processing delays, the 24th Annual Conference has been postponed

from December 24, 25, 26, 2010

to

February 18, 19, 20, 2011 (Family day long weekend).

This past Friday, after the sermon, Abdulmonem announced that there has been some issues with the invited shaikhs getting their visas. As has happened before a couple of times, a couple of the shaikhs have been told they’ll get the visas, but haven’t received them yet. A couple of others have been told that they’ll get visas for January, which unfortunately won’t be of any good to us. If the first couple shaikhs don’t end up getting their visas in time (or at all), the conference may have to be postponed to a later date.

I’ve been informed that the conference has officially been postponed and will be rescheduled to some time in February from the looks of things. Please keep an eye out for more updates, Allah willing.

For those still looking for an event to attend, the Abu Huraira Center is having their annual winter conference titled “The Return of Jesus Ibn Maryam” during the Christmas weekend (Dec. 24-26). My friends Navaid Aziz and Moutasem Alhameedy (who’s tentative) are on the list of invited speakers. You can find more information on this event at Abu Huraira’s website.

The rescheduled dates for the 24th Annual QSS Convention have been announced. The conference will be held over the Family Day weekend, Feb. 18-20, 2011. As usual, please stay tuned for more updates as the dates draw near.
