Q 5 : While one is explaining Islam to a non-Muslim, should one make clear to him the law with regard to apostates or not ?

Sheikh Ibn Jibreen answered :

Yes , one must make clear to him that apostasy after entering Islam makes execution mandatory, based on the authentic Hadith :

"Whoever changes his religion (Islam), kill him "

"من بدّل دينه فاقتلوه "
( Reported by al-Bukhari )

Before that, one should do his utmost to convince him with Islam and to inform him of all its merits and wonderful effects in this life and the Hereafter, so that he would not enter Islam except after complete satisfaction with it and love for it, and a firm resolve never to return to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it .
